Currently, Rach Gia Airport is operating under the management of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and officially exploited and used as a civil airport of Kien Giang province with an increasingly expanding scale and quality service quantity is constantly improving.
The current Rach Gia airport is located at 418, Cach Mang Thang 8 Street, Vinh Loi Ward, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province. With this location, the airport is located on the southwest coast and very close to the center of Rach Gia city, only about 07 km.

The infrastructure of Rach Gia Airport
Currently, the only airline operating direct domestic flights to Rach Gia city is Vietnam Airlines. The two routes deployed by the company depart from Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat Airport) and Phu Quoc (Phu Quoc Airport).
Rach Gia Airport does not currently offer international flights.

How to get to Rach Gia Airport from the city center and vice versa?
Rach Gia airport is located at 418 Cach Mang Thang 8 Street, Vinh Loi Ward, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province. The airport is about 11km from Rach Gia city center.
Travel time from Rach Gia airport to Rach Gia city center ranges about 20-30 minutes; depending on the route and type of vehicle you choose. If traveling by taxi will have faster travel time compared to motorbike or bus.
From Rach Gia airport to Rach Gia city center, you can go by taxi, motorbike taxi or rent a motorbike, airport shuttle service.
Taxi
Taking a taxi is still the most convenient, with a distance of about 12km; traveling by taxi will save you effective travel time. Moreover, for groups of 4 or more people and bring a lot of luggage, the taxi is the best option. The price for a taxi from Rach Gia airport to the city center is about 130,000 – 150,000 VND. If you want to see the scenery on the road, go alone and to save travel costs you can take a motorbike taxi. The price of motorbike taxi is about 60,000 VND. To catch a motorbike taxi, you need to walk a short distance from the door of the airport; there are many motorbike taxi waiting for you.
To go from the airport to Rach Gia city, you can also rent a motorbike and pick up your motorbike at the airport. With this way of moving you both save money, take the initiative to travel and be able to depart to the sights. Motorcycle rental prices in Rach Gia fluctuate around 120,000 – 150,000 VND / depending on the type of vehicle.
