Who can apply for a visa to Vietnam?
The main subjects include foreigners who want to travel and work in Vietnam. Or foreigners with relatives who are Vietnamese or overseas Vietnamese apply for visa to return to Vietnam.
Where to get visa to Vietnam?
Currently, to apply for a visa to enter Vietnam you can apply in two main places:
- At Vietnamese Embassies / Consulates in host countries.
- At Vietnam’s international airports (Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang)
How to apply visa to Vietnam at a Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate in the host country?
To apply for a Vietnam visa in the host country, you must prepare the following documents and submit them to the Vietnamese Embassy / Consulate for approval:
- Passport valid for at least 06 months, not torn or blurred.
- The Vietnamese visa application form filled out the information.
- Copy of documents proving the purpose of entering Vietnam.
- Pay the visa fee at the Embassy / Consulate as prescribed.
How to apply visa to Vietnam at international airports in Vietnam?
Currently, Vietnam has 3 main international airports, namely Noi Bai International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Tan Son Nhat International Airport. To apply for a Vietnam visa at the airport, you must prepare the following documents:
- Passport valid for at least 06 months, not torn or blurred.
- Immigration dispatch issued by the Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam allowing you to enter and get a visa at the international airport in Vietnam. This Official Letter is issued by the Immigration Department by an individual or an organization. (In case of visa exemption, no entry letter is required.)
To apply for a Vietnam visa at Vietnam’s international airport, foreigners need to present their passport and official dispatch (copy file on A4 size), fill out the form as instructed by the Immigration Officer at the airport and pay fees as prescribed.
Foreigners can apply for this dispatch/ invitation letter/ approval letter via a travel agency in Vietnam.
Visa application fee to Vietnam
Visa fee for foreign visitors under the new rules. This is a mandatory fee to be paid to the Vietnamese authorities when applying for a visa.
Fees for applying for visas, temporary residence cards, permanent residence for foreigners and Vietnamese residing abroad.
Fee rates:
- Tourist Visa single entry ( 1 month, 3 months) 25 USD
- Tourist Visa multiple entries (1 month, 3 months, 6 months) 50 USD

Countries and its citizen do not need Vietnam Visa for tourist purposes in a single time.

- The next entry date must be 30 days from the last departure
