Here’s everything you need to know about the 2020 Formula 1 – Vietnam Grand Prix.

To ensure the safety and health of all people, the safety of members of racing teams, organizers and the fan community, the organizers decided to postpone the race in Hanoi which was scheduled and announced to take place from April 3, 2020, to April 5, 2020.

2020 Vietnam Grand Prix will be held in Hanoi city from April 3 – 5, 2020. Vietnam will become the fourth street race in the F1 racing system besides Monaco GP, Singapore GP, and Azerbaijan GP. In Asia, Vietnam is also the fourth country after China, Japan, and Singapore.

The track in Vietnam has a length of 5,565m, designed by Tilke Group (Germany), including 22 corners inherited and inspired by the most famous F1 racing tracks in the world such as Germany, Monaco, and Japan.

What will a race weekend on your screens look like in Vietnam?

According to information from the Formula 1 homepage, the corners of the 1 and 2 at the track will be designed similar to the Nurburgring, Germany. And the corner of number 12 to number 15 is designed based on inspiration from the circuit in Monaco, France.

Meanwhile, corners number 16 to number 19 make the audience think of the Suzuka – Japan. Even the three corners of the end of 20 – 22 will make a mark of the Sepang in Malaysia.

The real thrill and drama of the F1 race track in Vietnam will come from the straight line of 1,500m (with some straight sections of 675m, 880m) with the maximum speed expected to reach 335 km/h.

Currently, the design of the race track, safety work, technical areas, stands … are being urgently completed as expected.

When is it?

According to official information from F1 and approved by FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile), the race day in Vietnam will take place on 3rd, 4th, and April 5th, 2020. It is the 3rd race in 2020, after Australia and Bahrain.

2020 Vietnam Grand Prix will be held at My Dinh National Sports Complex – Le Duc Tho, My Dinh, Tu Liem, Hanoi with a total area of 89.09ha.
