Explore the new community tourism spot Sin Suoi Ho in Lai Chau (Vietnam)

Sin Suoi Ho is a Hmong village with more than 100 households, located on the top of a mountain with an altitude of over 1,400 meters in the border district of Phong Tho, Lai Chau province.

Located about 30 km from Lai Chau city, Sin Suoi Ho in Mong language means “golden spring”, in Sin Suoi Ho commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province still retains its wild and rustic features.

The market is held 2 sessions a week on Wednesday night and on Saturday. The market is not only a place to trade but also a destination for people to exchange, meet, and participate in community cultural activities of ethnic minorities.

Named on the tourist map in 2013, up to now Sin Suoi Ho village of the Mong people is becoming a destination not to be missed when coming to Lai Chau because of its fresh climate and friendly people.

With more than 100 households, 658 people, 100% of whom are H’mong, including many households participating in the development of community tourism, supported by the local authority, Sin Suoi Ho village can welcome at the same time more than 100 tourists/day and night.

Not only doing homestay tourism, but people in Sin Suoi Ho also take advantage of the cool climate all year round to grow orchids, making this flower a typical product of the village.

So far, Sin Suoi Ho village has become a giant orchid garden at the end of the Hoang Lien Son range.

With the rugged and majestic terrain bestowed by nature, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau is considered one of the attractive land for domestic and foreign tourists to explore and experience.

With cool fresh air, diverse cultures, and local cuisine all work to attract tourists.

Community-based tourism development here is contributing to promoting socio-economic tourism development in general of Lai Chau.
